Would be neat, but these Mega forms are gonna be so broken and most likely banned from the meta-game. Adaptability on Mega Lucario? It already has beast attack and added to that perfect IVs and EV trained? PLUS adaptability? itd one shot everything with close combat.

What I heard in the Direct was one of them talking about the Mega forms and he said: "I cant wait to see what all the forms look like" or something along those lines.

So unless every single pokemon in the game gets them, it'd just be a shit fest with all the megas moving up to Ubers probably.

I don't even think it was said that Ampharos gets any stat boosts from its mega Evolution.
Charizard will definitely get higher Sp. Atk. and Speed. It'll be gone before it can even try a Thunder.

Frankly I don't have much of a problem with Charizard. Certainly not my favorite, but it's okay, and the sneaky pebbles maymay bullshit needs to die already because it isn't funny and the people posting it are acting like obnoxious middle school students at this point.

On the other hand, I'm also sick of fanatical faggots getting mad because Charizard's Mega Evolution isn't part Dragon. Get over yourselves, you idiots. There's a very good reason it still doesn't have that typing and it has everything to do with the balance among Kanto starters that you obtain during the course of the game. Too many people would go with Fire, encouraging a complete lack of diversity among player teams.

Ampharos isn't that bad in terms of HP and Special def though. Dragon type reduces fire damage by 1/2 though it might still go down. Dunno if a thunderbolt might be enough to take it down.

No speed though, the official website says its SpA grows "significantly" which usually means 2 stages in the game.
