It isn't a dealbreaker by any means, but it is disappointing. I like the 3D more on some games than others. I hardly use the 3D when playing Animal Crossing or Mario Kart, but I had it in pretty much all the time for Mario & Luigi and Ocarina of Time since the games looked so nice. It's just a strange choice on their part to not have the feature, even though everyone probably expected it.
Wouldn't be surprised if this partial removal of 3D effects is due in part to some poorly implemented scheme to pimp the 2DS, or to make 2DS users feel as though they aren't missing as much. Lame.
