>>13679872Depends, for me it was a nice stopgap between Gen 4 and 5 and has some nice tactical action. Though the story campaign is kinda easy as fuck and doesn't have much writing worth talking about, and the postgame is where the real action starts but the difficulty spikes pretty bad.
It's basically a Pokemon SRPG, with the battles being part of a larger strategy overworld. The Pokemon battling itself is somewhat simplified- Pokemon only have one move each and you can't get the full Pokedex (though pretty much all the popular Pokemon that were around when it came out are represented, and then some) but each Pokemon kinda has its own tactical niche. (mostly) And there's quite a few other tactical dimensions and gimmicks, as each Warlord has their own special ability you can activate in battle, and most maps have some gimmick going on with the scenery. (with wildly varying results)
