>>13685163>Besides, you actually support the anime?Yes, because it helps market the games and keeps the franchise going.
>That junk won't tell you flip about playing the gameIt was never meant to. That's what instruction manuals are for. You're looking for direction in all the wrong places, and that's a personal problem.
>>13685180>The catch is half the time Raichu appears in the anime it's either an antagonist to Pikachu or portrayed as an inferior, skewing preferences. It is more like it is shown as superior, but Pikachu uses the only few things it has going for it to beat it. People often seem to forget that the point of the first Pikachu versus Raichu conflict was to point out that you lose out on moves if you evolve stone Pokemon early.
>>13685254Exactly, the show is merely for entertainment. It is enjoyable as well, long as you don't go into it with unrealistic expectations and get frustrated it doesn't live up to your entitled wants. I'd love a more mature sidekick to the anime that is more faithful to the games like everyone else, but even if we had it you'd find something about it to complain about, and there would still need a need for the current anime to keep the child demographic satisfied.
