I'm confused, /b/.

I've been testing my Game Boy and Game Boy Color Pokémon games to check the battery state, and this is the result:
-Yellow: Fine
-Blue: Fine
-Silver: Fine
-Crystal: Dead
-Trading Card Game: Fine

Why is Crystal the only one "broken"? Blue is older and it's ok.

Crystal in particular had early problems with the battery. It is not your cartridge only, it is a known problem for all Crystals ;_;

G/S/C batteries tend to run out faster due to the internal clock , but they're easy to replace. There are instructions all over the internet, the hardest part is getting the case unscrewed.

Because of the time feature the batteries died way faster than Red/Blue/Yellow.

I just REALLY fucking wish they'd put R/B on the Eshop.

Batteries do not have a set "end" point. A battery can stop working in 2 days or 2 decades. You can speculate and approximate, but theres no way to be sure.

My Crystal was the Shiny, Sparkly version and the battery still works. My Gold died like 3 times and my pirate(lel) Blue still works.

Not being condescending here, but did nobody consider it might be based on time played?

Wouldn't the internal battery decay at a faster rate if it is often used?

Example: He plays crystal for 10 years, but only touched RBY for a couple weeks (As an example)

Yeah and no. The more it sits it still loses battery. When you save it depletes more battery.
