I know everyone says that ice, electric, grass, and poison types are hated, but lets take an honest look at fire types

48 different pokemon, but after you remove legendaries? 42, and after you remove starters?
only 27 pokemon

Fire only has 29 fire different attacks, 9 of which are signature attacks, attacks that the normal shmoes of the world can't learn. I should count blaze kick as a signature attack, since there are no non-starter non-legend fire types that can learn it, but since hitmonlee and lucario line can learn it I didn't count it.

anyone remember that flaming jackass from diamond and pearl? The fire "elite four" member who only had 2 actual fire types? at least they fixed in in platinum, but still. Apparently fire types are rarer than fucking psychic types who sit at 54, rarer than steel at 30, and just as rare as ghost types, ghost sitting at 27,
