No one in this universe 'lives a life free of poke'mon.' Sure, there are some who use them less, but Poke'mon fuel their science, protect homes with the police, save people from the ocean, and are frequently trained to do INCREDIBLE things, even if, without assistance, they could never make it there alone, with a little bit of help they can easily make our lives so much better by being allowed to reach their full potential.
Beyond that, if these poke'mon (and people who need welfare) were left without, unable to even scratch out the barest of existences, crime rates would rise and deaths would rise, as would people going to the emergency room due to malnutrition.
Treating a HEADACHE at an ER can cost (no joke) over $17,000, and treating a sprain? That can go up to $24,000. So, on average, people on maximum amounts of food stamps get $200 a month. For the price of treating a SINGLE sprain (a minor exterior injury) we could feed 120 people for a whole month.
Now, I don't know how much it costs to treat someone for malnutrition, but let's ballpark it at 150% of a sprain. That's $36,000, or food stamps for 180 people for a whole month.
How many of those jobless, handicapped, and recently fired 180 people would be malnourished and admitted to the ER in a month? Let's say 1 in 90, which is being CRAZY generous, in reality it would more likely probably be 1 in 30. But even if it's 1 in 90, to treat those two admitted to the E.R. would cost DOUBLE the amount we could've spent in food stamps to keep those 180 people healthy and out of the ER, with lower crime rates, less violence, less death and desperation in the streets, etc. etc. etc.
So you tell me, sirs, do we pay twice (probably more like 6X) as much to save 2 people, lessen the quality of life for another 178, increase crime and mortality rates, and INCREASE the burden on our E.R.s across America?
Same for poke'mon.
