I legitimately just can't wait to get into the PvP and start out with everyone not knowing what's good and what's not, what works, what can work, what doesn't work anymore.

Gen 5's start on Pokemon-Online was fucking beautiful. People were running Jellicent because they thought Meloetta was going to be a powerful force. People were actually using things like Haxorus and Excadrill without Sand Rush. It was magical.

I can only hope Showdown updates and fixes itself with all of the new stuff soon after X/Y release.

It will be nice to see them all moving in 3D. I've noticed a lot of times I won't like a pokemon because of the sprite in game, but once I see it in different poses, like in the anime or in fanart, it looks different and I'll realize it actually looks pretty cool. Pic related, never used to like this guy.

I've wanted character customization since I was a little kid, so that's probably what I'm most excited for. But everything that's been announced so far has been promising. I haven't been this excited for a new game since Gen II.

New pokemon in general. I'm sick of the ones we have currently. Got bored during HG/SS and could barely even bring myself for finish BW and B2W2 was just a chore. I got sick of Gen 5 pokemon before the games even released in the US. At least they're playing it right this time and releasing internationally but I'm still not happy with the rate they're releasing new pokemon... it's just way too much.

Play it smart, Gamefreak and don't show those starter evos until gamelaunch. Keep pokemon a mystery

There are so many things, it's hard to say. I can say one thing I can't wait to experience is the return of 3D battles. Sprites are great, but I love having the camera panning around the area while you battle and having the effects in 3D.
