I think it's moreso about how Fairy's are girly, beating up on percieved fearsome dragons.

As a dragon lover, I really don't care all that much. The only thing I hope, is that Hydreigon gets enough buffs to not be pushed down to OU because of Fairys. That aside, i'm pretty neutral about it all.

I think the best way to shut up the "Fairies are girly" fags up would be to make Fairy pokemon based on a knight or a wizard.

Knights tend to kill dragons in fairy tales, and a Wizard could probably just disintegrate a dragon. It would make sense.

Like I said though, as long as he gets some buffs- A special Dragon Dance, a coverage move to hit Fairies neutrally, maybe a Mega evolution...- then I won't complain one bit.

The logic behind Fairy overpowering Dragons comes from the Fae lore. Look it up vp, fairies arent all that cute and girly.

I honestly didnt want a new type, I didnt think it was necessary.. but there were some balancing issues, I guess Im all right with it now. Megas are the only things that.. irk me at the moment.

when we had nothing to go but Sylveon's name, which should clearly explain its type like all eeveelutions. Turns out the name in a certain country relates to fairies and sprites, dun dun dun. I think that if it weren't for 5th gen giving us more powerful dragons and giving already powerful dragons new abilities, we wouldn't need a new type to counter them. Seriously, giving Dragonite Multiscale and Salamence Moxie made them demi-gods of competitive play.

That said, if the rumors are true, and fairy types are weak to steel, then nothing has changed. Almost every dragon can learn a steel move.
