>>13714321For me, shit starts getting real when Pokémon you intend to use to the end start dying. I'm playing an Emerald Randomizer Nuzlocke right now and I'm down to pretty much just my starter (tanky Steel/Psychic Swampert) simply because everything's been so damned unpredictable.
>Vibrava ("Vibravo" Steel/Grass)- Magnet Pulled by random Poké during Team Aqua battle(?); had yet to become a Flygon>Nidoking ("Azazel" Fire)- got caught by a wild Deoxys' Pursuit when switching out for low HP; invested Dig and Shock Wave into him, planned to use him for coverage and teach Fire Blast>Raikou ("Waifu" Poison)- took a few Leers and got capped by May's Tyranitar; moves suck ass but Atk stat was incredibly powerful, planned to delete Cut and teach Strength, got to Lilycove City realizing he never got to see it, instant feels>Absol ("Angel" Normal)- took a Counter from one of Winona's Pokés; invested Secret Power, incredibly strong bro, only Poké that had a setup move (Swords Dance), only Poké that was able to double-battle with Swampallet (he was a very colorful Mudkip in his youth). It hurts to make investments like the ones mentioned above and pay for it. I don't box these guys either. When they're gone, they're gone for good.
