>>13719360The thing that gets me about Lickilicki is that Lickitung feels like a very tangible being. You get a good sense of how it stands, how it moves, how it interacts with the world, just from the sprites/artwork.
Lickilicki on the other hand feels like a stiff blob with no hint of life to it. Lickitung's tounge is flexible and is seen to roll up, while Lickilicki's is sticking out in this oval shape constantly, losing what made Lickitung's so special.
It also feels a lot more like a cartoon than Lickitung, if you get what I mean. It has these stumpy little legs that are suppose to balance all the fat it has. Lickitung has structure to the legs, so it actually looks like it can stand.
Though, when you stand back and look at the designs, they're both really fucking weird anyway.
