Here's the thing. I want to stay in the dark, but I don't want to miss the magic of release day with /vp/. Release day of both Gen 5 games were magic, cherished memories, and I know I'd miss out if I skipped Gen 6 release day with you guys. I'm just going to have to let the spoilers sink in and enjoy it regardless.

I'd like to do that too, but there's something about being around discussions of a game I want that depresses me. Fuck I don't even give a shit about spoilers for games, but if I even see a commercial on tv of a game I want I get this heart-sinking, gut-wrenching feeling. Don't think I'll even be able to watch Cartoon Network/Nickelodean in fear of Pokemon ads.

You can't win either way. I'll just settle for the magic of discovering Pokemon with /vp/ over the magic of discovering them myself. I was lucky enough to have been a trainer for Gen 1, so at least I experienced that magic once in my life. I recommend those who haven't to stay in the dark, while those who have to hype all the way through with us.

It's a shame NP was outsourced and shut down so there's no "official" guides anymore.
Prima sucks, I always hated their layouts and maps while Nintendo Power's felt more organized and easy to read.

The games actually give you a braille guide if you figure it out. There's examples in the room where the first dig wall is at that you're supposed to realize are the 26 letters of the alphabet.
