>>13732832>My problem with it is design. What's wrong with the design? It is much harder to slap an entire face on a sword than just an eye, and Magnemite is just an eye.
>Also, I did draw a better rendition of Honedge.Post it?
>The fact that the design is shit is irrelevantOpinion, and isn't that your entire argument?
>it shows that it can still be made into a cohesive organismExcuse me? I think you're literally pulling one of those "I know what a REAL Pokemon looks like, and this isn't it." They're monsters, and if anything stuff like
>>13732511 proves that throughout gaming history people have accepted stuff like this as an acceptable design for sword monsters. What makes it cool is that it could be mistaken for a sword, and that it is a parallel to all the legends of "demonic" swords throughout history. Swords that feed off the souls of the lives they cut, which are almost always just swords with a strange aura or an eyeball. You're lucky Honedge wasn't a plain sword with an aura instead, and they at least tried to give it personality with the eye.
>like magnemiteWe've been over this. It is the same thing. If you have ever seen a cluster of magnetic junk stuck together, then it is practically a Magnemite minus the eye.
If you are worried about Honedge looking artificial, then I'd suggest you go peek at how it looks animated in XY. It moves like a living thing, and I'm sure they'll even find ways to make it expressive when they show it in the anime. It really is an exaggerated non issue.
