I just really, really hope clothing/accessories are available to buy with Poke-yen, or maybe just found/given a lot.

Why do people keep saying this? The rivals have no hat, meaning that the head/hair is fully detailed underneath the hat like most games. Why make, for the sake of argument, 30 hairstyles without letting you see each one fully? It would be counter intuitive. That said, Game Freak has dropped the poke ball many times before.
