Oh, also, the whole plague doctor theory is actually pretty interesting. It isn't /just/ based on the mask. Plague Doctors used to put perfume in their masks, as disease was thought to be spread the smell.

I thought the perfume thing was more of a smell masking procedure since they worked a lot around the dead/dying/rotting. And to keep out airborne agents/diseases of course.

It was because they thought the Plague was spread by bad air, which was kinda right, and so making the air smell nice would be a foolproof cure to the Plague.

That's actually a myth. It has no folklore base, the 'symptoms' in the song do not fit y. pestis, its most modern and well-known equivalent is quite likely not its original one (as there are plenty of variants), and 'fall' more likely means to curtsy, not die.

Sorry to rain on the parade. I still hope for plague doctor flamingo.

Plague doctor is pretty much confirmed since they spoke about it when they covered the abilities, design and inspiration.

Never thought about a flamingo but seems fine to me.
