>>13755809>GhostNeutrality on steel, not directly affected by the new fairy type, this gen looks bright to ghost types.
Ghost is immune to 2 types, resists 2 and it's only weak to dark and itself. Ghost is resisted by dark, does nothing to normal and it's supper effective against ghost and psychic.
Basically you are now forced to run "bad" types like normal and dark to stop ghosts, your overused steels are not enough anymore. That's the definition of a dominant force, the sole presence of ghosts is gonna force to balance the usage of types, just like dragon and fighting did past gens.
The only thing ghost type needs to get ridiculous is something more powerful than shadow ball.
Status: Buffed to hell
>FightingDespite fairies it's still a good offensive typing, it just now has some real threat (lol psychic and flying) and can't just mindlessly spam as before. Bulky fighting types like Conkeldurr will fall in usage, the rest doesn't care all that much.
Status: Slightly nerfed
>PsychicSame as before, maybe it even got indirectly nerfed with the ghost type buff.
You can say the opposite with the poison buff, but poison got buffed offensively, you are not gonna see too much of a rise on Posion walls to need to use Psychic moves much more than before.
Status: Nerfed?
>PoisonNow poison types are gonna use their stabs and that's it.
Unless fairies become a really dominant force, still no non-poison types are gonna use any poison type moves.
Status: Slightly buffed
>BugNow resisted by fairy...
Resisted by SEVEN types, SE against three, 2 of which got most likely nerfed (dark, psychic).
U-turn spamming was never as unrewarding as it will be now.
