Guys, I can't wait anymore.
I want it to be October 12th already. Today's corocoro was the last straw.

I originally wasn't planning on getting it but I literally JUST got my 3DS (I won it from a stacker game in an arcade on Saturday), and now I have no choice

What are you guys looking forward to on that glorious date?

How? Those games are programmed for you to lose. The outcome of the final few levels are completely determined by the machine.

They're programmed to pay out every so often and allow people to actually win after a certain amount of plays to the point the machine has more than paid for the prize it's giving, to give the false sense to people going next that they can actually win.

I've won one of them before. They aren't THAT hard. The one I won had a trick to it where once you got to the top, you had to stop 2 blocks away from the block you wanted to stack onto, or else it wouldn't work.

There's literally switches and shit in it the average person from winning to the point where if you win two times in a row it's deemed as suspicious activity and three times in a row can get you legitimately talking to the management for "breaking" their game.

Go read the manuals for any of those types of machines. They're designed around profit.

Dave and busters/Chuck E Cheese operate on entirely different rulesets. Mainly because you're winning tickets instead of straight prizes for quarters and 99% of the people spending their money won't ever even touch any of the prizes actually worth over a dollar while the one in one hundred who does still likely spends far more money than the product is worth.

They're only programmed to lose until they hit a certain amount, which is inputted by whoever runs the arcade.

Once the machine detects the amount of money that was inputted, you can win it.

It's to make sure they don't lose a profit because of all the expensive shit in there. You don't really need THAT much skill to win at Stackers, after all. You'd have people cleaning them out instantly.

And on another note, does Walmart do midnight releases for the games? I didn't preorder yet.

Depends where and when you go. Most stores day 1 will likely have it. If you go like two or three days late at a popular place like Gamestop you might be less than lucky.

I don't have the cash to just buy games. I WON my 3DS, had that not happened X/Y wouldn't be happening for me.

Like, I the only game I have for this thing is BW2 and a kingdom hearts Demo that I downloaded. . .I think what's killing me isn't just that X/Y is so far away, it's that I won't be able to use my DS until then :(
