>>13762978Lucario is actually looking to be the worst offensive Mega.
What it gains in Adaptability, it loses in Life Orb boosted coverage moves. Sure, your Close Combat OHKOed that Fight weak Pokemon EVEN HARDER, but you lose both boosted ExtremeSpeed (the only thing keeping it in OU; no, Bullet Punch isn't even close for a replacement) and Ice Punch.
Sure, stat boosts, but all other Megas get that as well. As it is, it's the only Mega that faces such a sharp opportunity cost due to its heavy reliance on its item slot.
>>13763073Adaptability STAB Bullet Punch is still weaker than Technician STAB Bullet Punch. Scizor also has a higher base Attack than Lucario pre boost (and we can't knock out the possibility of Scizor going Mega either
how disgustingly terrible).
Scizor also takes on the role of a Priority revenge killer/user with STAB U-turn, which helps keep up momentum.
Mega Lucario isn't even close to touching what Scizor does.
>>13763233It still has great special bulk, support and hazards, its typing only got better with the Fairy introduction, and can only get better in a metagame with more Steel/Poison/Fairy/special Ghosts/Darks.
Rain isn't going to disappear either, meaning it'll still have its niche.
Not to mention, it can get its own Mega form.
>>13764107Banded Aquarabbits have been Superpowering every Ferrothorn foolish enough to stay in since Gen 5's first release for a solid 2HKO assuming any previous damage to guarantee while outspeeding it.
>>13764151>Hi Jump Kick>90 accYour hypothetical scenario is highly unlikely to happen. I'd say that it'd only happen about 10% of the time.
