Did anyone else completely forget about honedge? I was here when it first got revealed and instantly got hype and loved the motherfucker. But since then I just forgot it existed. Saw a picture of it an thought "oh shit i forgot you existed". Anyone else feel this way about any new pokemon?

I've felt that way about Honedge since day one. In battle when it unsheaths itself it's literally just a floating sword. Very little personality.

Basically all but honedge. I have hi hopes for the typing and to see what it's abilities/stats will do for it (which will probably be nothing).

If it's a fast sweeper and gets Levitate in some way it'll do fine.

You people are freaking out over things without knowing what the Gen VI metagame is gonna be like anyway. You can't make predictions based on the current metagame.

One of it's abilities is No Guard, and Pokemon with Levitate tend to not have other abilities. Also we're freaking out for good reason: previously, it seemed he would only be weak to Ground and Fire. Now he has 4 weaknesses. This impairs his defensive worth.

It was very unlikely he was designed to be defensive in the first place. At least now his ghost STAB to neutrally hits steels. Besides, boosting priority.
