Before having my first pokémon game I had a gameboy pocket but no games to play on it. I was saving for quite a long time to byu some games and, while I waited, I borrowed games from a cousin of mine. One day my older brother decided to take the gameboy and a Silvester (cat from looney toons) game to school without me knowing.
Later that day he came home and told me both had been stolen. At first I didn't even believe him, I was a kid and I was used to being fooled by him, to tell the truth I did not believe any of it until my mother came and told me it was all real.
It was a sad moment but to compensate they promised they would get me a gameboy colour and pokémon in exchange, of course we would have to buy another game for my cousin as well.
Two days later me and my brother decided to buy everything since it had already been promised and since easter break was right behind the corner we would have all the time to play. So we asked a cousin to drive us to the nearest market and I got my very first gameboy game.
Later that day after picking Bulba our parents found out and prohibited us from playing the game for the whole easter because we bought it on impulse and we didn't get our other cousin's game (we had no money so fuck it).
End of story, my cousin got Blue, I got Red, we we had to wait a whole two weeks before playing the game even though none of it was my fault and I still use this story as blackmail against my brother to this very day.
