So gen 6 is best gen, right? I mean the last gen to drastically change the metagame is between 2 and 3

gen iv changed special and physical slipt. Basically, gen v was the only one that did nothing new.

The last gen to drastically change the metagame was Gen 4's Phys/Spec split, which was far more significant than Gen 5's Dream World.

The biggest case for Gen 5's effect on the metgame is the inclusion of Team Preview, which actually changed the entire metagame and how teams are built.

I can only hope they choose not to include this in Gen 6, but I fear I hope in vain.

Hidden Abilities are nothing new. That Pidgey gets Big Pecks in Gen V is mechanically identicle to Pidgey getting Tangled Feet in Gen IV.

Gen IV's physical special split was the biggest thing that gen along with the multiple Priority moves they introduced, and generally better move pools and weather support. We got hippowdon and Abomasnow. NOT TO MENTION STEALTH ROCKS.

Gen V brought in a bunch of minor fixes and buffs in the form of dream world. Fun pokemon expanded move pools for older pokemon. Permanent TMs. Faster battles. Triple and Rotation battles. and with dream world came the ultimate weather support for non legendaries in the form of Ninetales and Politoad. Rain teams dominated the meta. Ferrothorn the monster came into play and ghost/bug types got a little more support.

Eviolite screwed us out of ordinary evos.
If only this mega evos werent limited to one per party.
