All of those are going to stay, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. They all effect the game in a big way, so taking something like those out is not likely.

And don't compare to Following Pokemon because those were in two games, one set being remakes and another being exclusive to Pikachu. Not counting the little park from D/P/Pt

No doubt part of the reason for the introduction is that Gamefreak is trying to keep the Pokedex from reaching insane numbers while still introducing forms related to old Pokemon. They're in no hurry to reach 1,000 Pokemon, and mega evolutions help delay that.

I'm well aware of that. But it's still extensive. Every single one needs an eating animation, happy animation, sad animation, angry animation, petting animation. It would be retarded just to get rid of it. And for 3D model animations being so easy they sure didn't put a lot of effort into battle animations like Blastoise actually shooting water from its cannons.

While I doubt it, it's possible as they could find some other way to grind for friendship.

VERY possible. It's fun but on the whole it doesn't really add anything important. I can definitely see this going away as well...unfortunately.

Now this I highly HIGHLY doubt they will remove. this is possibly the biggest change to battle style outside of the introduction of fairies.

It would be like suddenly removing hold items.
