I wish that would happen to me.

Pokerus is good, it makes them gain more exp when they battle. It goes away eventually I think.

Alright OP here, I've spread the infection to some pokemon I keep boxed. Is that all I need to do? Just keep them boxed so they'll never be cured and I can spread it at my leisure?

Congratulations, it is worthless then. Make sure you save a pokemon with the pokerus in a box so future EV training will be much faster.

Congrats OP. Catching Pokerus is more rare than finding a shiny. I actually caught it whilst chaining in Platinum, so I got Pokerus and three shinies. Spread that shit to and keep an infected in all games.

Only in trades, not finding them in game. In trades, people can easily spread the virus, trade it out, next person does the same, and so on and so forth. Shinies are found, and that's it. You have one shiny.
