Seeing him in game footage in battle made me not hate him. He doesnt look that bad. But with a name like quilladin i have a feeling he might be a fairy type which would totally make him my starter.

He definitely looks better in game, that artwork just looks so awkward.

I like the way the chestnut theme shows through with his armor. Personally I'm hoping he bursts out of the shell into a glorious knight of flowers.

his gag in the fire emblem series is to be so generic that even his allies don't notice him half the time, despite being a guy in full clanky armor. he's actually used as a spy at some point, i think. in full armor the whole way
