I like the X version because it altogether looks like Mewtwo just with a few differences - much like the mega evos of all other announced Pokes thus far.

Y version though is rather radical in terms of appearance compared to Mewtwo: size, colour palette on fingers, head-tail and face seem just too different for me to like it.

At least X keeps anatomy similar - tail, legs, arms, fingers and toes seem slightly altered and not too far from the original.

i too also wanted this type of mewtwo and maybe by giving him this Armour it would power up attack and special attack while worn or something.so if you don't want to "megaevolve"(which both form look like a cosmetic downgrade.) you could just power him up with this suit of Armour.

If you look at it from a DNA biology stuff kinda way, id say there wont be any new megas for mewtwo.

Since mewtwo is just mews DNA that was altered a little, i believe that one mega is due to mews DNA and the other ones due to mewtwo being a new pokemon by itself even though it has mews DNA. Or not. You never know with gamefreak.

Both of them look so awkward. I like some of the megaevolutions but these are both inferior to the original design. The cock toes, weird hips and head handle on Y, the hand frog-feet, fat wrinkles, and shoulder lumps on X, none of it looks good.

Haha, regular mewtwo also looks pretty strange to being with. He's got plum fingers, a weird ass exo-skeleton rib structure, some kind of feeding tube coming out of his head, tail diaper and so on.

True, but I don't think either of the megas is an improvement on that. They're just one of those things that have a few design issues that make them completely unlikable for me, yet I can still see HOW I could have liked them if those weren't there. I'm sure everyone has a few pokemon like that.
