The point is that while Amaura has "only two" double weaknesses, both of which contain a common priority move, it also has a weakness to just about all other common attacking types (Grass, Water, Ground, Rock). Stealth Rock, Water types and EdgeQuake are fucking omnipresent and part of nearly every competitive team, so Amaura is nowhere near useful even if you're not using it against Pokemon with Fighting and Steel types.
tl;dr it's impossible to avoid those weaknesses since they're so common
Also, if and most likely when it turns out to be a defensive Pokemon, it will have shitty attacking stats and has to rely on stalling. How can you stall with a typing like that? Amaura is the shittiest Pokemon of Gen VI, deal with it.
