Not that guy, but I notice the game is growing up alongside its fanbase as well.

Look at the designs for Hilda.
Look at the Yancy minigame.
Look at how the new trainers are at least 16 years of age
Look at the ferris wheel dialogues
Look at N and his warped mindset and his creepy room in the castle
Look at mindbroken Ghetsis after he failed trying to KILL you

If anything, Pokemon isn't necessarily for kids, but more of a young teen rating game. unlike the older gens that were very kiddy

Its about friendships
Between People, Pokemon, and everything in between
This game shared its magic with me from a young age
Going on big adventures through the regions and having tons of fun.
Learning morals for a good heart, and remaining faithful to my values, and standing strong against the villains. Then sharing kindness with everyone in the game, especially the bros who were with me every step of the way, making it an easy feat.

Pretty much everything about the Pokemon games is more interesting than the human characters on every level. I would rather focus on the music, art design...anything but the characters. They're fun games, but the storylines are at best on the level of childrens' television and they're no more worth "head-canonizing" than childrens' television.
