Tried to a few month ago.
My old password didn't work, even though I know 100% that it was right. Then I emailed them and they told me that my account "Didnt have an email attached to it", and they wouldn't give me access to it, then said "You should have used your email when you signed up"
I'm pretty sure its impossible to sign up without an email.

Every year and a half or so I go through Neopets withdrawal and have to start playing for at least a few weeks again. It's terrible, I haven't genuinely liked the site since I was a young teenager, and I don't even do anything besides earn money that I don't spend.

So why can't I stop going back?

You can get healed for more HP than the pet has. I think I had like 40/23 at some point, but then it got reset by something healing to full, which, of course, just set it back to the base amount.

What did you guys used to feed your pets btw?

I remember that there was a Giant Omelette where you could get a piece for each pet for free everyday, as well as a Giant Jello.

My pets survived on omelettes and jello.

There's really no point in feeding them anything else. I'd occasionally get some cheap food from the trading post, but it's mostly the free stuff (also the free food you get at that one theatre place).
