/vp/, I know I'm probably gonna get a bunch of hate for this, but I'm desperate for help.
Ever since I was little, I've had to deal with a lot of crap. I won't go into details, as it's just a bunch of generic stuff that I'm sure a lot of you have dealt with either personally, or know someone it has happened to. (Father died, mom remarried a drunk, watched them make a bunch of stupid choices, etc..) My life was hell up until I was 8 or 9. I was kind of late on the Gameboy Color/Pokemon train. But either way. It was around 2001 when I got a GBC and Pokemon Yellow.
I was in love with the game, especially my Pikachu. He felt like a friend to me, even though he was just a little combination of pixels. He was my first friend, and even though I got stuck pretty early in the game, I kept playing until I beat it. I could never put the game down until I obtained a copy of Crystal version. Again, the same story, except this time it was a new adventure, with my Chikorita. The process continued all the way through to the newest gens. The only reason I've bought any new consoles was for Pokemon. I even bought a second DS Lite after I lost my first one.
Pokemon has always been my coping mechanism for my crappy life. One of the only things that makes me happy. It always makes me happy to win a battle, or a contest, or even just to watch my babies eat poffins or pokeblocks. As dumb as it sounds.. The Pokemon games mean a lot to me.
There's one problem though. My grandma is worried she'll be dying soon, so she paid for me to move back to Oklahoma from Georgia, and now I'm back with my parents. I've desperately searched for a job for months with no luck. It's seriously bothering me that I can't afford a 3DSXL and Pokemon X when it comes out... especially when I could use a coping mechanism most. Could any anon possibly help me out? Even if someone just got me the game.. I could possibly borrow a 3DS from someone.
