The paw is like that because it's a paw. With claws, not fingers. That's it's normal standing position.
There's no signs in the "dress" fur that it's being hold or even touched in any way. No folds nor shadows.
Not that is matter much, though, but you're just making it out to be way more furry bait than it is.
