Why didn't they just call Fairy-type "Light-type"? It's more general, it fits the theme of most current Fairy-types (especially Xerneas), most of the type matches will still make sense (Light dispels Dark, Steel reflects Light, etc.) and moves like Moonblast and healing moves (which fairy types will probably have a lot of) still make sense as Light moves. Not to mention that Fairy-type sounds pretty gay.
