It's pretty much always been there. Most of us were just to young to notice when this thing first arrived.

honestly, it used to be worse. game freak's game designs are getting slightly more erotic but theyre still very tame compared to what the anime got away with years ago (the skirts, schools are SO short in the old episodes. dont forget loreli's massive breasts).

the manga have been worse, as is often the case when you compare anime and manga. particularly the toshihiro ono comic. i still cant believe they ran that in cororo, and then they even had to censor it multiple times in japan, which got even more censored when viz put them out in NA.

I like the fact that slowly, since gen4, they've really been trying to get more characters and lore and story.

Gen 4 had lots of lore
5 had an actual story, well-rounded characters with pasts (N, Ghetsis, Bianca and her father thing), that ending with the gym leaders coming together and doing shit, etc.

Now 6 has a group of main characters, it seems like they're trying to flesh out the personality of side characters/gym leaders, and we have customization and shit.

I'm liking it.
