not when you have done it already and transfer over. catching only one region's worth of Pokemon isn't really that hard.
for example, even with work taking up most of my time it still only took me 4 days to catch all of Gen V Pokemon.
Gen VI will be a cakewalk as far as catching them all goes.

Nah, it's only hard the first time you do it. It's only easier after that because you can transfer everything over and then you'll basically only have to catch the new Pokemon.

I'm trying to fill the National Dex in Black2/White2 at the moment as best I can. I'm going to finish that off (hopefully before PokeTransfer comes) and send them all over to X & Y. No way I'm redoing all that work.

This way I can get that Shiny Charm and have a good portion of the National Dex ready on X & Y.

My dex is complete in White... I have at least 1 legit specimen for every pokemon 1-493. For gen 5 pokemon, I mostly have the final form for each pokemon, there is just not enough space for all 693 pokemon plus extras. I'll get my pokebank account and start transferring the moment I get my national dex.
