well we got the pc and party sprites still

there was this picture where they even bothered to redo some of the older sprites as well. hell i think they remade them all.

Also do you really think lazy companies tasked with making pokemon spin off games on TPC's behalf are going to bother making or using the 3D models when 2D is easier and quicker (and therefore cheaper) to use?

3D is here but, like Windows XP, it'll take a while yet for everyone to switch to the newer and better system so it will be some time before the 2D era ends.

How does it feel to know that all the way through XY there will be NPCs or pop up text boxes constantly nagging you to take a break, like on Animal Crossing, Paper Mario and just about every other Nintendo game released for the 3DS in the last year?

Isn't 3D actually a lot cheaper than sprites? Once the model's made, they can reuse it over and over again.
