this is without a doubt the most adorable pokemon i have ever seen, dare i say its the cutest thing i have EVER seen.

its typing may be very misfortunate but its ability has amazing potential
think about it 255 power STAB return

9.5/10 will permanently place in party

I love both of them. They're my favorite first stage fossils, even topping Kabuto. They're both adorable, Tyrunt just trades a little of that for some cool factor. I really regret you can't get both in the same version.

Refrigerate turns normal moves into ice moves, and powers them up

assuming that this power up stacks with STAB and doesn't replace it, you get

102 * 1.5 = 153
153 * 1.5 = 229

of course this is also assuming that the power boost Refrigerate gives is 1.5x like STAB

No, but it has a weakness. I bet that Amaura's gonna have a high HP stat, but it'll be slower than Tyrunt. Stealth Rock (assuming there's an enemy before Amaura or whatever it evolves into, if anything) + a powerful physical Rock-type move from Tyrunt would probably KO Amaura.

Nothing about sauropods really screams speed, so it's very likely that Amaura will end up being a slow, bulky mon. Only way Amaura will win a head-to-head is if Tyrunt is unable to get a OHKO.

Probably not. What normal moves would it get? Probably something like Body Slam and Take Down. But if it's a special attacker it's not gonna get much help. Hyper Beam, Swift... Hyper Voice might be nice but unlikely.
