I encountered a shiny Poochyena right before May and had no Pokeballs to catch it.

I bet Brock in pokemon yellow with just pikachu, level 14 or something. Spam the shit out of double team first, and then I had to use every single one of pikachu's moves to kill geodude and take off a big chunk of onix's health, then I had to use struggle to finally kill him. Used 4 potions or something.
