>>13867859It'd be a sorta-reliable counter. You'd still have to match existing counters. Like, Volcarona is a Scizor counter. A Scizor with really good accuracy boosting still isn't going to beat a Double Team Volcarona.
>>13867909Lock-on and Mind Reader only offer a one-time boost. Since they take a turn to use, they're entirely countered by Substitute or Protect (and Sub is the most popular move to run alongside DT in existence).
Coil is probably the only move worth using that gives +acc, and only on like Eelektross. Any other accuracy boosting is basically a gimmick - maybe useful for surprise value, but not otherwise useful.
>>1386794380 is only barely usable; consider that it usually takes a 120+-base-power STAB to reach the top of OU as a pure offensive threat (Hydro Pump Keldeo, Close Combat Terrakion, Outrage Dragonite, Draco Meteor Latios).
And nevermiss moves still suffer from horrible distribution, not-great typing, and they still only counter double-team pokemon weak to them. Well, check; your pokemon also needs to be able to survive two or three of the Double Team pokemon's attacks in a row to be considered a counter.
>>13868025VGC is a Doubles format. In Doubles, stall and individual setup are significantly less effective as strategies. DT is a stall strategy, so it also gets nerfed in Doubles.
>>13868281While there are other reasons why Double Team is less effective in doubles, it'd still be quite a bit better. For instance, GBU is 3v3 Singles and it gets by without banning Double Team.
