I agree that Pokemon are fantasticly selling games, but how do they compare if you only count one version.

It almost feels unfair to count two games as one.

DP and BW lost out to Nintendogs, NSMB and maybe a few other things, though.

Not that 3DS has anything insanely popular like those yet, though. Best is SM3DL which wasn't amazing.

Asia loves that shit beyond belief. My old roommate from Hong Kong said that it was totally common and acceptable to see groups of teenagers set up camp in a fast food restaurant and play MH multiplayer all day. Imagine how it is in Japan.

Well first consider the people who give those awards out then consider what kind of image they want to send to the public.

I think the only recent game that manage to break the hd war shooter/cinematic adventure/iconic blockbuster mold was epic yarn. But that was mostly because it was so out of left field.
