It's quite a boost, but it can be overlooked. I've done it before with my shiny Haunter. Eventually decided to trade it over to HeartGold at lvl 70.

Was my first ever Shiny and have been playing since Pokemon Yellow.My Final and second Shiny was a Buffoulant that appeared on my way to Vctory Road. RNG for them now.So I don't consider those encounters.

They have an incredibly low catchrate on their own, but combined with having only one move (that, if you don't use a ghost Pokemon, will hurt it) that leads to it struggling itself to death way too soon makes them a bitch to catch.

I just got my shiny charm a few weeks ago (and used it to get a shiny Latias), and now I'm thinking of trying out the masuda method with it. Possibly for a Beldum, because damn they look nice, typing nerf in X and Y regardless.

My first shiny was a Voltorb in Sapphire when I was a wee-one (underageb& here) and none of my friends had any idea why I was so excited because none of them into pokemon. I think my second was a Tentacool in LeafGreen and my thrid was a Krokorok in White (while I was trying to get a shiny Litwick).

Shiny Zubat in Gold, found in the Union Cave. 10 years later, I found a shiny Geodude in the same place. Union Cave is my favorite cave, no doubt.

My friend caught and sent me a shiny Tentacool from his Pearl version, but it died when my DS was stolen a year later. Aside from that, I just have the Red Gyrados. Trying to get the Shiny Dratini/Haxorus in White 2, before I get X/Y, but I don't think I have enough time.

I also have a shiny Magmortar, and a Banette from trades. They check out on legit checks, both in awful balls, with awful natures, so I assume they're legit. Dunno' what to do with them though.

I have never found a shiny in any pokemon game before. Any shiny I have gotten I have earned, such as red gyardos, black haxorus and "shiny" gible.
I have decided I am going to put this shiny charm to good use and masuda method me a shiny mon. I am thinking on doing it for charmander, because dat black charizard be bitching. I'm not sure yet though.
It all depends if I find anybody from the states willing to trade me a charmander with decent iv's.

Maybe the pokemon that are hacked with AR that aren't natural to the routes they have been caught on.

For example I know my friends used to use the shiny code and catch all wild pokemon. I doubt they can detect that.

But maybe like hacking rayquaza into diamond where bidoofs normally are will be detectable. Who knows.

In this Gen sure, but they're updating the check. I don't know how because i'm no expert, but they may be using something we currently don't know about to detect Pokemon that weren't caught in-game.

The only thing I am wondering is Pokemon with hacked parents, and eggs of hacked parents. Whilst sending over hacked eggs will be time consuming in itself, could that be a possible loophole?

Honestly, only time will tell. Maybe convincing Pokegenned Pokemon will still be transferable.

I can RNG abuse without cheating.

Found out in platinum my trainer Id and secret id are about 200 apart.

This means when I have a pokemon with cute charm in the front of my party I have a 21.33% chance to find a male shiny.
