Think about it, virtually every non legendary pokemon should be available between the two games which would place the total amount of obtainable pokemon in the lower 700 range. If this region is roughly the same size of Unova, then the game is going to be very cramped. Sure you can have version exclusives, but that is at best a 3-5 difference in wild pokemon.
This is why i'd really like to see a second region in this game......unfortunately, if there was a second region in the game they probably would have been hyping it just as much as the mega evolution business. Either that or I may be oblivious to the fact that the Kalos region may be absolutely massive enough to accommodate all 700 some-odd pokemon.
