I think chespin used Night Slash in the first trailer. I compared Talonflame's aerial ace, And Chespin's supposed aerial ace, but they look a bit different. pic related is the comparison.

I also wanted to ask if it's possible to check the data on 3ds carts yet. If not, how will websites like bulbapedia and serebii find out things like routes on which items and pokemon appear etc?

You do know that it's the same animation right? Except in the first trailer it was an error. It's pretty much the same animation of Aerial Ace in Gen IV and V.

Last I recall such software doesnt exist yet. Unlike the ds in which it would have useful applications since emulators and decent flashcart exists, the 3ds has nothing at the moment

Apart from a non locked movie player you can find any ap you need that is not related to piracy or cheating on the 3ds eshop.

And they come with a music player preloaded.

Only people who don't own a 3DS or just use flashcarts for piracy actually complain about this, but if it matters that much why not just keep your old DS for that and use your 3DS for new games and get used to buying new games like everyone else.

How is it an error? Even if it was mirrored (which it is not), aerial ace goes up-down, and chespin's move goes down-down. I hope my explanation is clear.

I don't think you can find things like base stats and entire move pools in the guidebook.

Didn't Honedge use night slash on Golem in that french footage. Looking at night slash's Jap name it refers to a Samurai Technique that involves cutting a innocent bystander at night. Now when Honedge used the attack the screens goes dark and you see those Jap slide doors.

Exactly, which is why it's an error. You can see how the slash didn't even follow the red streak. It's Aerial Ace, with the corrected animation posted in your GIF. It was an error because the game's just an early build.

Actually that looks more like an iaido attack than Night Slash.

You know an iaido right? A single slash with a sword? In Japanese fiction it's added with special effects like an "aftermath" reaction.

Your right I checked the website. This is what Night Slash looks like. So we can confirm that Chespin used Aerial Ace not Night Slash and Honedge knows a brand new move

Adding this pic as well just to cement it since this guy thought that it wasn't aerial ace even though it looks the exact same except with different directional slashes. I mean it looked nothing like the night slash animation in previous games so Idk how he even made that comparison.

Chespin uses shit like Vine Whip, Rollout, Wood Hammer, Solarbeam, Leech Seed, Aerial Ace, Pin Missle, Mud Shot.

Meanwhile Froakie has Pound, Growl, Bubble, Quick Attack, Hydro Pump, Bounce, Water Pulse, Lick, Round.

Can't tell shit from that.
