>>13873567I've seen a lot of complaints here about the surfing (and associated Tentacools and Wingulls everywhere) in Gen III, but I wish I could go back to Hoenn's pace. Surfing in HG/SS is a pain: in the tiny river between Route 24 and the Cerulean Cave I run into an average of five Goldeens and Seakings every time—and encounters on actual water routes are proportionately higher.
In Hoenn you could surf across an entire route ten times that length, and only encounter ten Pokémon along the way.
