>>13876266Before pokemon black 2 came out, i made observations and calculations for weeks to choose which pokemon team im gonna get. And when it is released i did everything as planned, caught pokemons that i wanted and tried to complete my pokedex from gts trades but got bored before even completing the game. I never had opportunity to try other pokemons because i already had in my mind which 6 pokemons im gonna choose. Than i deleted my saved file and started playing as nuzlocke challenge. But it ruined the surprise factor. I already knew which gyms were difficult and i was prepared for them. And prepared for surprise rival battles.
Now playing my first playthrough as nuzlocke gives me opportunity to evaluate different pokemons and after i complete my nuzlocke run i can start playing with pokemons that i want. It's more difficult since you don't know anything about game and it makes me even more excited.
Also it is pointless to try completing pokedex or other stuff like pokemon studio if you are going to start over to do nuzlocke run later. (if you are not gonna buy 2 cadridges) So doing a nuzlocke first and a normal playthrough second makes more sense to me.
