I can't remember the names, to be honest, I did not even read the names, I was interested about the types, stats and moves.
About how they look, I would never say, we are very close to the release, I just can tell you one of the starters final evolution is very different from the others stages, is the same situation from Dewott-Samurott. None of them are quadruped, though.

In the animation uses a helmet covered by thick and spiky grass to attack, I think is based on the Cannon artillery grass dolls.

For the final:
The HMs returning are: Surf, Fly and Strength.
You use Strength only 2 times in the games, the first (and you use a LOT) is on the Victory Road, there's lot of stairs in this cave and so many stones in front.
