Guys I'm concerned on what will happen when trading pokemon to X and Y through the poke-transporter, because if you haven't been up to date Nintendo made a short article on why they will bannhammer everyone's "illegal" pokemon, which can also lead to corrupted save data for X and Y.

They're basically saying that blatantly hacked pokemon can't be transferred. They also trying to spook you into not using pokemon editors by saying that edited pokemon could potential break your game. Basically "don't do it, or the boogeyman will get you!"

3DS is yet to be hacked. You can't transfer pokemon from Gen5 to XY if not via the transporter. Until they hack the 3DS, this case won't happen (and even if it happens, I'm sure they'll add the same checkers to the GTS, so unless you got it locally, it's safe)

I love how reverse compatability is coming back this gen. Now I can bring all of my hacks that pass all of the legality analysis aspects over to X/Y. It's going to save a ton of time for me.

It's especially satisfying knowing that it'll piss off people like >>13879875 and their holier than thou attitude over a children's game.

The people who constantly whine about hackers need to realize that they exist in most video games, and while they can be eliminated for a while, they will always be back at some point. There's really nothing you can do about it.

tl;dr - Stop getting mad over video games.

Nintendo stated they're redoing their hack checking system. Even Pokegen doesn't create perfect hacks, their trash bytes are off. We've had a method to detect them since Gen IV, GF should have caught up by then.

why? It's entirely plausible in game, just as likely as any other IV combination.

Do you even understand statistics? 31/31/31/31/31/31/ is just as manthematically likely as 0/0/0/0/0/0, or 1/2/3/4/5/6 for that matter.

The max is 31, therefore it is possible. If any of them were 32+, then it wouldn't get through.

Do you think they have people who check?

It's a computer program that will check for illegal stat combinations and (possibly) do trash byte integrity analysis.

31/31/31/31/31/31 isn't even disallowed, and damn, if there were any legit Pokemon you DID want to transfer forward, those would be the ones.

Perhaps more interesting is the following realization:

>every gen, one or two Pokemon have moves removed from their movepools
>those monmove combos are still legit, but only because of forward-transfer being possible
>it's possible the new legality checks will shitkick any mon who has these moves because they're no longer allowed.
