>>13880044You're late too, but not by years. That's actually not quite a form, but something called a Mega Evolution - a temporary evolution that it reverts back from after the battle ends. Lots of old Pokémon are getting them. Mewtwo is (as far as we know) unique in that it has two Mega Evolutions; Mega Mewtwo Y, which is the one in your picture, and Mega Mewtwo X which is a Psychic/Fighting type.
>>13880369Ironically enough, you're quite a Slowking yourself! Both the Dark type and Slowking (which is indeed a branched evolution) were confirmed to be real way back in 1999, when Pokémon Gold and Silver came out.
