there is not a single t-rex fossil with feathers found.
What they did find was in juveniles they had fluff like baby birds of today have but then what obviously happened is they shed them as they got older.
In dinosaurs feathers were used for regulating body temperature, not flight. Large dinosaurs had no such need for feathers because of their body mass but small ones benefited from feathers to stay warm.
A dinosaur the size of a t-rex with feathers over its whole body would overheat.
