At least, I hope not.

Maybe based on the percentage of health you took off? Or the percentage of health it has left? Maybe it'll even have to do with which kind of ball you use.

Maybe there'll be an EXP Ball that doubles the amount of experience you get when catching pokemon.

I hope there is.

My reasoning is this;

Say you were fighting a guy. Halfway through the fight, someone throws a net over him and prevents him from moving. Would you gain full "experience" from throwing one punch or two? No, you'd have just gotten a hit in and ended it. Now, if you KO'd that guy, you'd have had full experience from participating in an actual fight all the way through, and proved your strength.

It's not more effort, except in dire situations (Sleep/Freeze, 1hp, a million balls). Even then, it's more time consuming than effort.

I won't say you're wrong or right, as it's a matter of opinion if such is more effort or not.

Thing is, it should still be reduced experience when catching because what if some loser with cheats just throws master balls at level 100 pokemon over and over? I know, he could just instant 100 with candies or use a pokegen or something, but essentially a person who catches pokemon often would gain more experience in less time than it would take for a guy to fight constantly.
