A thought occurred:
Since Ash is the anime counterpart to Red, what if they somehow make Serena the anime counterpart for Yellow? Or at least some elements of her.

It would at least give them the excuse of how the fuck she met him in the middle of the woods.

You can't compare the Anime version with the VidyaGame version

In the vidyagame they look like they're 13-15 TOPS. I mean aging does exist throughout the series but only affects old characters.

In the anime they still look like 10-11 or so and never age.

Because he isn't a Jap, and she isn't French. Ash is from Kanto, and she is from Kalos, two regions that I think are closely related, but we'll have to wait until X an Y are out to see if my connections hold true. Hell, maybe anime Serena is also from Kanto.

Stop crossing fictional regions with what you know about the real world locations they are based off.

I KNOW Kanto was inspired by Japan, and I KNOW Kalos is inspired by France. But they aren't Japan or France. You can't apply real world logic to these regions either. Just because Japan and France aren't connected at all, doesn't mean Kalos and Kanto won't be similar.

It was in the Japanese version as well. The PUSA dub follows the Japanese script really closely, so usually if it's in the English version, that means it was in the Japanese one as well.

The dub has been very inconsistent with his age. First he's 10, then 11, then 10, then 11, then we assume, using logic and putting together the amount of episodes that there have been, that he must be about 14 as of D/P, but B/W comes out and he's 10 again?

I don't know if the Japanese version has this same problem, but I just ignore any references to his age in the dub. My headcanon is that Ash is 15 as of X/Y

Ash was always 10 in the anime as confirmed again in the first episode of BW in the Japanese version. The english dub added a false line that implied him being 11 which wasn't in the original.

Also one of the movies mentions him being 11 which apparently was in fact also in the original, but then there's the matter of whether or not you consider the movies canon for the anime.

tl;dr - he's 10, always was, always will be
