The Pokedex heights are real, the entries are mostly speculation. That means that Tyrantrum is about as tall as Charizard, and people typically depict Charizard as being around 7 feet tall even though it's shorter than Blastoise.

Who are you to say what Sharpedo can and can't do? Besides, it's not like claiming a Pokemon is 5 feet tall and claiming a Pokemon's body temperature exceeded 4000 F are the same sorts of claims.

I'm very aware that many Pokedex entries sound completely bananas and exaggerated, but they're the only source of in-game data we have on all the little bastards.. I'm going to trust what my copy of Pokemon says about a monster long before some guy on 4chan, regardless of how absurd the entry is.

It's called the Float Whale Pokemon, it's supposed to be based on a blimp. The rest of the ones that talk about the dex entires are fine, but the height and weight are official. Realize that Pokedex stats are based off a level 30~ version of that pokemon. As it levels up, it gets bigger. Not to mention genetic height discrepancies between individual pokemon.

Horizontal spines work far better for everything that isn't a monkey who uses its feet to grab the branch below and its hands to grab the ones above (and all subsequent descendants; gorillas didn't need to see far when they went to the ground and therefore keep their spine horizontally and do not suffer from chronic species-wide back pains)

What I mean is that earth t-rex lived in the Cretaceous which was 67 - 65.5 million years ago. Tyrantrum lived 100 million years ago, so if that's around the time they also died out, it would make the pokemon world around 40 million years older than our own.

It's not just me right, but has Sugimori's work gone to shit this generation?

Braixen has the creepiest skinny arms in the art, but looks pretty good in the game. Same with Quilladin, Litleo, and a number of other pokes.
